The IRS has reduced the business mileage deduction by 9% from the 2009 figures.
Beginning on Jan. 1, 2010, the standard mileage rates for the use of a car (also vans, pickups or panel trucks) will be:
50 cents per mile for business miles driven
16.5 cents per mile driven for medical or moving purposes
14 cents per mile driven in service of charitable organizations

1107 Miles Logged /$648 in Mileage Payback in November
During the month of November we logged 1107 business related miles or $648 in mileage deductions based on the 2008 rate of 58.5 cents per mile. (as of January 1, 2009, the rate is being reduced to 55 cents per mile)
The standard mileage rates for the use of a car (including vans, pickups or panel trucks) for 2010 will be:
50 cents per mile for business miles driven 16.5 cents per mile driven for medical or moving purposes 14 cents per mile driven in service of charitable organizations
